In the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, sunflower yields have increased by 27.5% over the past three years and amounted to 23.5 c/ha in 2021 against 18.4 c/ha in 2019.
32.5 thousand tons of sunflower seed oil was harvested last year , which is 109% by 2020, and compared to 2019, this figure is even higher - 124.5%.
At the same time, the areas occupied by sunflower, on average in the republic, annually amount to 14-15 thousand hectares.
This year, according to preliminary data from municipalities, no less than last year's area will be occupied by sunflower - about 14 thousand hectares.
